Updated review: March 14, 2023I have reduced this from four stars to two stars. The padding on the chair has already broken down to the point where I can often feel the hard base of the chair. Like many cheap chairs, the padding does not hold up. The rest of the chair remains in good shape, but the lack of durable padding makes this chair not worth purchasing.Original review: July 5, 2022.I think this chair is a pretty good value overall. I had a tough time finding something affordable with the level of adjustability and this is as close as I think I can get. I have a bony behind and the seat is pretty comfortable so far. It isn't too soft like most chairs, where I sink to the bottom and sit on the base. The material seems pretty good too, although a bit scratchy. Same with the backing. Definitely budget material, but it is a budget chair. The tilt mechanism is pretty great and locks firmly when used. I like the tension, although I wish had a few more detents because the angle isn't always what I want. Overall, more comfortable than the more expensive office chairs I use at work.The worst part of the chair is the headrest. Even at maximum extension, the headrest sits at or below my shoulders. Because it is curved, it pushes into them and makes it impossible to sit with the headrest installed. After installing the plastic cover I went to take it off and the clips broke immediately. I recommend testing the headrest before putting in the cover because it will break if you try to remove it. If a headrest is a must for your chair, this isn't the right choice.Overall, I think this is great value chair. A good level of adjustment for the value, good comfort, but with some budget materials and a poor headrest.
